Jordan Pickford, the most expensive British keeper ever. The English professional footballer impressed for Sunderland despite the club finishing bottom of the Premier League. He has become the most costly British keeper in history.

Last Pickford was getting £25m from Everton, the club is rising to what would be a club record £30m to sign him from Sunderland. The 23 year old goalkeeper has signed a five-year contract at Goodison Park, who is on duty with England Under-21s.

After signing Pickford told the media that, it is a great club, a massive club and it is a great opportunity. It’s a great time for him, the British keeper made 29 Premier League appearances last season but could not prevent Sunderland being relegated.

Pickford joined the Black Cats academy in 2010. He had spells on loan at Darlington, Alfreton Town, Burton Albion, Carlisle United, Bradford City and Preston. In January 2016, the keeper made his first-team debut for Sunderland in a 3-1 FA Cup defeat by Arsenal.
